Hydrotherapy for pets in Lincolnshire - Squirrel Lodge Hydrotherapy

We can help with a variety of problems:

Pain management in long term conditions such as osteoarthritis, Soft Tissue injury, Orthopaedic surgery
Mental stimulation for dogs on ‘cage rest’ or restricted exercise, Hip Dysplasia, Patella Luxation, Prevention of muscle stress by working muscles in an alternative way from usual training especially in competitive sporting dogs.

We use Hydrotherapy, Manual Therapies, Electrotherapies, and Exercise Prescription to develop an individual care plan for your pet.

Hydrotherapy – includes exercises while swimming in the pool and on the platform.
Manual Therapies – includes range of movement, proprioception enhancement, balance, core strength exercises.
Electrotherapies – includes Transcutaneous Electric Nerve Stimulation (TENS) and Photizo light therapy.
Exercise Prescription – includes range of movement, proprioception improvement, balance, core strength, endurance training, cardiovascular work.

    • We provide flexible and effective treatments for the pets you love in a safe and relaxing environment.

    • Your pet will receive one-to-one care from a fully qualified hydrotherapist.

    • All dogs wear a life jacket or harness and we have a hoist system for dogs which are unable to manage the ramp in to the hydrotherapy pool.

    • We use motivational techniques to ensure sessions are also fun for your pet while they receive quality treatments

    • Our pool is 4m x 2m and 1m deep so we are able to swim even larger dogs comfortably

    • Our pool is heated to 30 – 31°C to ensure the best therapeutic effect

    • We have owned dogs of our own for over 30 years and worked within the rescue world

    • Paula is fully qualified hydrotherapist with a Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy achieved at the world renowned Hawksmoor Hydrotherapy and Referral Centre; she also has an honours degree in nursing and is a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner and Fitness Trainer..

    • Paula is a Full Member of the Canine Hydrotherapy Association (CHA) and the Institute of Registered Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapists (IRVAP)

    • Paula is also an Associate Member of British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA)
